What Is a Domain Project

Introduction. Domain Project is used to create shared resources which can reuse across other projects who are referring to domain projects. Mule can define selected connectors as common resources and expose them to all apps deployed under the same domain. These resources are known as shared resources.

How do I deploy a project to a domain?

  1. Export the JAR file from Studio.
  2. Ensure runtime is stopped.
  3. Copy JAR file to <MULE_HOME>/domains.
  4. Start the runtime.
  5. You should see that the JAR file is no longer present in the domains folder and now you have an expanded folder. This means the domain was successfully deployed.

How do I import a domain project into Mule 4?

Go to Mule Project -> Modules -> Add Module. On clicking the Add Module button, an interface will be provided from where we can search the module to import. Select the module and add it to the domain project. Once the module is added, an additional option of “Connector Configuration” will be added on the Create option.
