What Is a Red Pummelo

The pummelo fruit, or Citrus maximus, looks like a large red grapefruit. According to Purdue University, the fruit can be up to 12 inches wide, and it is native to southeastern Asia. As with a grapefruit, you can eat a pummelo raw, candy the peel or cook it into jams and jellies.
