What Is Aco and Pco

A person with authority to enter into, administer, and/or terminate contracts and make related determinations and findings for the U.S. government. In DoD, these functions are often divided between the Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO) and the Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO).

The administrative contracting officer is responsible for assisting in evaluating subcontracting plans, and for monitoring, evaluating, and documenting contractor performance under the clause prescribed in 19.708(b) and any subcontracting plan included in the contract.
