What Is Aircheck Texas Program?

The AirCheckTexas Program, also known as Drive a Clean Machine, is a Texas Commission of Environmental Quality program established to remove older, more polluting vehicles from Texas roadways. Residents of these participating counties may be eligible: Brazoria, Galveston, Ft. Bend, Harris and Montgomery.

How long does it take to get Aircheck Texas voucher?

Applications may be submitted by fax or mail and will be processed in the order they are received. Repair applications are processed and response letters are mailed at least 10 business days or less after the date received.

What do you need for Texas inspection?

  1. Proof of liability insurance: any current state insurance is acceptable.
  2. Payment: Official Inspection Station accepts cash, check and credit cards (Visa & Master Card and Apple Pay). Texas state law requires that payment is made whether your vehicle passes or fails inspection.
  3. Photo ID: this must be current and valid.
