What Is an Octreoscan Test

An Octreoscan is a test that can indicate the extent of small tumors and show where they are located in the body. With the creation of the Netspot® Scan, we are better able to find these small tumors quicker and develop more effective treatments from the high-resolution images this procedure provides.

How long does an Octreoscan take?

This scan takes about 20 minutes. These images will be shown to the radiologist and the radiologist will determine if another set of images is needed on this day. If needed, the technologist will take another set of images called a SPECT/CT.
