People that have followed Suits since the beginning are aware of a fairly esoteric running gag: Donna and Harvey employ a can opener into a pre-trial ritual. It’s a silly ritual, but the best part about it is the fact that the audience has no idea why they use a can opener.

What does it mean the can opener in Suits?

If Harvey commits a murder, Donna will be the person whom he calls to help drag the body across the room and hide it. They are friends before they are lovers. This is a woman who has been in Harvey’s life for so long that they have jokes only they understand and a ritual (the can opener ritual) that is sacred to them.
