What Is Eci

Generally, when a foreign person engages in a trade or business in the United States, all income from sources within the United States connected with the conduct of that trade or business is considered to be Effectively Connected Income (ECI).

How do you qualify for ECI?

A child who has a developmental delay of at least 25% which affects functioning in one or more areas of development, including cognition, communication, gross or fine motor, social-emotional or adaptive/self-help qualifies for ECI. If the only delay is expressive language development, there must be a 33% to qualify.

What is an ECI school?

An Early Childhood Instructor I (ECI-I) provides direct 1:1 intervention to children with autism and/or other developmental delays. Children range in age from approximately 12 months to 12 years old. The ECI-I carries out a systematic instructional sequence planned by and under the supervision of Program Supervisors.
