What Is Line Continuations?

Taken from The Hitchhiker's Guide to Python (Line Continuation): When a logical line of code is longer than the accepted limit, you need to split it over multiple physical lines. The Python interpreter will join consecutive lines if the last character of the line is a backslash.

What does too many line continuations mean?

There is a limit to the number of lines you can join with line-continuation characters. This error has the following cause and solution: Your code has more than 25 physical lines joined with line-continuation characters, or more than 24 consecutive line-continuation characters in a single line.

How do you fix too many line continuations when recording a macro?

Doing this manually is easy using the filter option and unchecking the numbers I want left out, but recording it to a macro causes the error "Too many line continuations" after about 230 numbers. Obviously this is because the macro lists what numbers it leaves in the column, rather than those it removes.
