What Is Marine Finish

Marine Wood finish is an alternative to varnish. Its formula is different from urethane varnishes. It is intended to provide the attractive appearance of traditional spar varnish, but is much easier to apply. For instance, only 2 to 3 coats are necessary, with no sanding between coats.

What is difference between marine varnish and polyurethane?

While polyurethane is water- or oil-based plastic resin, varnish is older and made from resins, oils, and solvents. Because of the higher ratio of solids, varnish is less susceptible to ultraviolet light damage. This protection makes varnish an excellent choice for projects such as outside decks and exterior furniture.

What is marine grade varnish?

MARINE GRADE VARNISH imparts a rich, clear amber tone that enhances wood grain; creates a durable, uv resistant waterproof finish that wont fade; ideal for interior and exterior wood, brightwork on boats & outdoor furniture.
