Non-addressable headers on your motherboard are for standard rgb strips. These non-addressable rgb strips are colour changing as well, but unlike the addressable, the whole strip changes at the same time.

What is addressable RGB?

Addressable RGB simply means that each portion of the RGB strip (or whatever it is that is RGB) can each have its own different colour and intensity. Compared to a regular RGB strip which may not have RGB addressability which will have all the rgb lights the exact same colour.

What does non-addressable RGB mean?

Non-addressable RGBs, the whole strip/array of RGB LEDs displays one colour at any time.
