What Is Round Robin Cooperative Learning

Round Robin Brainstorming or Rally Robin are a strategies when the class is divided into small groups of 4 to 6 students per group with one person appointed as the recorder. A question is posed by the teacher with many possible answers and students are given time to think about answers.

What is round robin learning?

Round Robin has students brainstorm on a topic without elaborating, explaining, or questioning ideas. Group members take turns responding to a question with a word, phrase, or short statement. Students share their thoughts one at a time until all students have had the opportunity to speak.

How do you facilitate a round robin discussion?

Instead of writing ideas down, you can also use Round-Robin Brainstorming verbally. Seat your team members at a table, and discuss the current problem. Then, go around the table and allow each member to state one idea. Write down each idea for further discussion.
