What Is Seacast

Seacast™ is a high strength casting compound combining reinforcements and additives in a proprietary resin matrix. Seacast™ is formulated for heavy duty applications that need strength and durability, i.e. motor mounts. Seacast™ comes in a bucket with premixed resin, BPO catalyst, and premeasured reinforcement.

What is Seacast made from?

Seacast™ is a synthetic material made from a mix of proprietary ingredients and recycled fiberglass fibers. Seacast™ uses chopped reinforcement recycled fiberglass that provides superior tensile strength in comparison to ceramic spheres.

Is Sea cast any good?

It is a great product, saves money over glassing in a new wood or foam board transom. If the gussets are solid (a small drill hole to near the transom to see if the wood is yellow or brown), and mating pieces to the gussets are, seacast is the most efficient and just as strong as building a new transom.
