This medication is used to relieve moderate to moderately severe pain. It contains 2 pain relievers: oxycodone and aspirin. Oxycodone is an opioid pain reliever that acts on certain parts of the brain to relieve pain. Aspirin is known as a salicylate and a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).

What is Percodan prescribed for?

PERCODAN is indicated for the management of pain severe enough to require an opioid analgesic and for which alternative treatments are inadequate. Hypersensitivity to oxycodone or aspirin, (e.g. angioedema) (see WARNINGS) • Patients with hemophilia. PERCODAN contain Oxycodone, a Schedule II controlled substance.
