Gayle is poor, and lives in a basement studio apartment within walking distance of Bob’s Burgers. She is not seen to hold a consistent job, but gets a job as a security guard in “As I Walk Through the Alley of the Shadow of Ramps”.

Gayle (voiced by Megan Mullally) – Linda’s neurotic artist sister, the aunt of Tina, Gene and Louise and the sister-in-law of Bob. Bob dislikes her, much to Linda’s consternation. She is desperately lonely and once fell in love with Bob because, Linda explains, she always wants what Linda has.

In “The Kids Run Away,” Gayle helps Louise overcome her fear of the dentist and points out that she’s afraid of a lot of things, but still, does them. Throughout the series, it seems like Gayle has worked to improve her mental health. She is no longer as fragile like in previous seasons.

Before fans even got a proper introduction to Gayle, the show set us up for an eccentric and extremely weird character. “Art Crawl” is the first episode Gayle appears in and we find out Gayle painted something. A few minutes later, we find out she painted animals’ butts or anuses as Bob repeats throughout the entire episode.

As funny as Bob’s Burgers is , the show is extremely heartfelt and different from other animated shows for adults. In “There’s No Business Like Mr. Business Business,” Gayle still has her moments but you can see she truly cares about her family and her cat. She wants to make her cat famous, not because she wants to be famous but because she cares about him. I know that might sound strange, but that’s just who Gayle is.

She is also portrayed as extremely fragile, throughout the series. Her fragility is such an essential part of her character too. The family gets scared to confront Gayle or tell her certain news, but she tends to recoil each time.

While Bob does not like to admit it, Teddy is his best friend and obviously his best customer. While he is good-hearted, Teddy can be very overwhelming sometimes, especially for Bob. The worst thing Teddy has ever done was in the episode “Drumforgivin.”. Teddy is hired to do some work for Jimmy Pesto.

Even after saying that, Teddy kept coming into the restaurant and yelling at Bob, accusing him of being angry and upset because he was working at Jimmy Pesto’s.

While her intentions were good, she sold Bob’s espresso machine behind his back in order to get the money to fund the classes.

Bob’s Burgers plans to host a Hawk And Chick screening. To run the film reel of the movie, they need a $1,000 deposit. Bob and Linda can’t afford it, so they plan to call it off. That changes when Louise steals their credit card and buys it herself.

In “Sexy Dance Fighting,” Bob was jealous that Tina was spending all of her time at a capoeira and not working at the restaurant. He would not support her and even went to the class just to embarrass her.

“The Unbearable Like-Likeness of Gene” is an episode about Gene and his new girlfriend Courtney. Gene does not like Courtney at all but ends up in the relationship because she likes him a lot. When he finally goes over to her house to call it quits, he learns that her dad is a jingle maker. Gene instantly thinks her dad is super cool and loves all the awesome music equipment he has. Then, Gene goes on pretending to like Courtney a lot, just to have access to the equipment.
