Which macOS can I install on my Mac?
Here’s a list of the Macs that can run macOS Big Sur:
- MacBook models from early 2015 or later.
- MacBook Air models from 2013 or later.
- MacBook Pro models from 2013 or later.
- Mac mini models from 2014 or later.
- iMac from 2014 or later.
- iMac Pro (all models)
- Mac Pro models from 2013 and 2019.
What OS can my Mac upgrade to?
If you are running macOS 10.11 or newer, you should be able to upgrade to at least macOS 10.15 Catalina. If you are running an older OS, you can look at the hardware requirements for the currently supported versions of macOS to see if your computer is capable of running them: 11 Big Sur. 10.15 Catalina.
