What to Do After Getting Dreads Retwisted?

After all dreads are twisted and secured the dreadlocks should be dried with a hair dryer. Take care not to over heat the hair as it will do more harm than good. Let it dry completely and sit for at least 3 hours if possible. Then you can release or un-clip the dreads.

How long does it take for dreads to dry after Retwist?

In most cases, the dreads will be dry in 20 to 30 minutes or less. If a hair dryer is inaccessible, you can also allow your hair to air dry after it is retwisted.

Do dreads get thicker after Retwist?

When you leave your hair alone, your locs are able to flourish and thicken up because they're not constantly “made” into condensed retwisted or interlocked bundles. The ideal timeframe for a retwist is between 4-6 weeks— no earlier!
