It is one of the royal residences of Elizabeth II, whose father, George VI, and grandfather, George V, both died there. The house stands in a 20,000-acre estate in the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Why is Sandringham closed?
Sandringham House will be closed for general visits on Fridays and reserved for Group Bookings and Exclusive Access tours. Sandringham Transport Museum and Exhibition will remain closed for 2021 as we review its future as part of the overall development of our visitor facilities.
Is Sandringham open to visitors?
Sandringham House and Gardens are now open to visit again via pre-booked tickets and St Mary Magdalene Church is open daily 12-4pm except Sundays open 1-4pm. Please Note: The House and Gardens are closed Fridays for Group and private visits.
