When Can You Re Turf a Lawn?

Can you lay turf all year round?

Turf can be laid all year round providing the ground conditions are appropriate. Turf can't be laid during frosty weather as this can slow down thawing and act as a barrier. It does not damage your new turf if the ground becomes frosty once it has been laid.

Can you lay turf on top of old grass?

Laying new grass on top of old grass may seem like a good idea, and you may even get some good results to begin with. The new grass will grow over old turf, to begin with, although, as the old grass begins to die your lawn condition will deteriorate.
