The Truffle Worm is a rare critter that spawns in the underground Glowing Mushroom biome during Hardmode. It is solely used to summon the Duke Fishron boss. In order to use it, it must be caught with a Bug Net and used as bait with a Fishing Pole in an Ocean biome.
How do you get Truffle Worms to spawn?
A pretty efficient way of increasing the spawn rate of Truffle Worms is by using some Battle Potions, and Water Candles. Use of the Golden Bug Net is recommended if possible, as the faster swing speed makes it much easier to hit them.
Why can't I find a truffle worm?
1 Answer. Truffle Worms can actually be found in glowing mushroom biomes which are mostly underground. In order for them to spawn you need to have hard mode enabled so that means you need to defeat the Wall of Flesh first before they start spawning in glowing mushroom biomes.
