When Does Yugioh Zexal Take Place

Is Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal in the same universe?

Zexal is in an alternate universe. ARC-V is in another alternate universe, which explains why you can see both Aster Phoenix and Kite Tenjo next to each other. VRAINS lies in a third alternate universe, explaining why there’s no Pendulum summons.

Is Yugioh Zexal canon?

Last thing for Zexal is the D Team chibi manga, which I only mention to confirm that it’s officially non – canon to both the Zexal anime and manga.
