When Possible or If Possible?

There is a difference in understanding between the two. When indicates that a situation will arrive, and the student should take advantage of it. If indicates that the writer is unsure if a situation will arise.

Is it where possible or when possible?

English (U.S.) "When" is the most correct; I agree that "where" wouldn't be totally wrong, but it still is somewhat odd.

How do you use the word if possible?

It is always best to choose organically grown foods if possible.
  1. Keep the children out of earshot if possible.
  2. Call in this evening if possible.
  3. I'll help you if possible.
  4. I try not to go overdrawn if possible.
  5. If possible, select pairs of fish that already have a track record for breeding.
