When to Clean Gauges?

Anytime you receive a new piercing--or move to a larger size gauge--it is important to refrain from touching the area for at least 24 hours. After this, you will need to clean the area several times a day. Before touching your piercings it is important to wash your hands with hot water and soap.

Are you supposed to clean gauges?

Wash your newly stretched piercing twice daily with glycerin soap. This will help remove the crusties and keep your piercing clean. Remember not to let anyone else use your soap! Soak your piercing twice daily for three to five minutes in a warm sea salt solution.

How often should you change your ear gauges?

That said, you'll be looking at a few months, usually around 4 months for smaller gauges, all the way up to a year or two for larger gauges. Note: Whilst there is a common 'point of no return size' for ear stretching, every ear is different and some may not close at all after a certain size.
