When to Repot Drosera?

Selecting The New Pot
You don't want something too small, or you'll find yourself repotting your sundew every six months, which isn't good for you or your plant. A good rule of thumb when repotting is to use a pot that is approximately 2 inches larger than the current or previous pot.

How do you repot a Drosera?

  1. Make sure soil is compacted at the top, or pour it over the side of the pot, to avoid crushing your sundew in an "avalanche" of peat.
  2. Follow the guidlines given in the LFS repotting directions directly above.
  3. Flip the pot on its side, and see if you can ease the entire rootball/peat mass out together.

When can I transplant Drosera seedlings?

You can transplant your sundew seedlings into a larger pot right after they first sprout- or you can leave them in the pot (if it is 2 inches or larger), and wait to transplant it until it reaches maturity.
