When should I stop Gilenya?
Gilenya treatment may have to be stopped for reasons such as adverse drug reactions, planned or unplanned pregnancy, or because the medicine is not working. However, patients should not stop taking it without first talking to their prescribers, as stopping treatment can lead to worsening MS symptoms.
How long does it take for Gilenya to get out of your system?
GILENYA will stay in your body for up to 2 months after you stop taking it. Your white blood cell count (lymphocyte count) may also remain low during this time and the side effects described in this leaflet may still occur.
