- Clipping of cerebral aneurysm (both ruptured and unruptured)
- Resection of arteriovenous malformation (AVM)
- Resection of brain tumor.
- Biopsy of abnormal brain tissue.
- Removal of brain abscess.
- Evacuation of hematoma (eg, epidural, subdural, and intracerebral)
