Where Are Yucca Plants Found

Description. The yucca plant is native to the high deserts of the southwestern United States and Mexico. It is also found less commonly in parts of the eastern United States and West Indies.

Where does the yucca plant come from?

Yucca originally grew wild in the southern United States, South America and the Caribbean. The plant flourishes in desert regions, and so copes well with full sun and relative dryness. Some wild species also flower, but it’s unlikely you’ll see your houseplant in bud.

Where does yucca grow best?

Yucca plants do best in a partly shaded location that receives bright, indirect light. Although yucca plants may grow in sunnier spots, their appearance could suffer from brown tips or white spots on their leaves.
