Where can geophysics work?
Almost half of the geophysicists in the country are employed by private companies in the mining, oil, and natural gas industries. The rest work for federal or state government agencies or teach in colleges and universities.
Does geophysicist work outside?
Geophysicists are not limited to working long hours in remote locations for the oil industry. In fact, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) indicates that most geophysicists are employed by engineering and architectural firms, as of May 2019.
