Where does the Cherokee Rose grow in Georgia?

Cherokee rose plants are hardy in zones 7-9, where they can be semi-evergreen to evergreen. They are deer resistant, drought tolerant when established and tolerate poor soil. They are also excessively thorny, which is why they are considered problematic when they naturalize in the wild.

Can you buy Cherokee roses?

Cherokee Rose bushes are available from online rose growers and in some local nurseries, particularly in Georgia and neighboring states.
