Where Do You Take the Dlab

Most people will take just the ASVAB. You need to schedule the DLAB (Defense Language Aptitude Battery) before you get to your MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station).

Who takes the DLAB?

ALL ENTRY LEVEL OFFICERS IN OCCUPATIONAL FIELD 02XX WILL TAKE THE DLAB PRIOR TO GRADUATION FROM THEIR MOS SPECIFIC TRAINING. D. WARRANT OFFICERS IN MOS’S 0205, 0210 AND 2602 ARE NOT REQUIRED HAVE A DLAB SCORE ON FILE, BUT ARE ENCOURAGED TO DO SO.

What is a passing score on the DLAB?

The Army standard for DLAB scores includes a requirement to score 95 or better on the initial test. Those who do not score 95 or better are welcome to retest again following a six-month waiting period.
