Where Is Fads Made?

Today, Fads are manufactured in Colombia rather than Australia as they were originally.

How are FADs made?

A fish aggregating (or aggregation) device (FAD) is a man-made object used to attract ocean-going pelagic fish such as marlin, tuna and mahi-mahi (dolphin fish). They usually consist of buoys or floats tethered to the ocean floor with concrete blocks.

Where are the FADs?

The Sydney Harbour FAD lies about 7.05 km (3.81 nautical miles) off the coast of New South Wales in the Tasman Sea which is part of the South Pacific Ocean (show New South Wales on map). A FAD or 'fish attracting/aggregating device' is a man made structure deployed at sea.
