- Log on to the Windows Server 2008 R2 system with an account with administrator privileges.
- Click Start, click All Programs, click Administrative Tools, and select Server Manager.
- Double-click on Roles.
- Double-click on File Services.
How do I install File Server Resource Manager?
Step 1: Install FSRM role
Under the Select Server Roles stage look for File and Storage Services, expand File and iSCI services and check the box near File Server Resource Manager. Click Add Features --->Next. Click 'Next' on the 'Select features pane' after accepting defaults. Click 'Install'.
