After Nickelodeon Studios closed in 2005, the time capsule was moved to Nickelodeon Suites Resort in Orlando. It will be removed and opened April 30, 2042 -- 50 years after it was first buried.
What's inside of the Nickelodeon time capsule?
Contents of the capsule include rollerblades, Twinkies, a copy of Nickelodeon Magazine and a jar of Gak, a gooey child's toy popular at the time, among other things. Keeping with the original plan, the capsule will be opened on April 30, 2042.
