Where to Find Basalt Minecraft?

Basalt can only be found naturally in the extreme conditions of the Nether, though it's possible to make it in the Overworld too. It forms in pillars in Soul Sand Valleys, and it's also possible to find entire Basalt Deltas, where the very ground you walk on is primarily made up of basalt.

Where is basalt found?

It is found all over Earth, but especially under the oceans and in other areas where Earth's crust is thin. It formed in the Isle Royale-Keweenaw region because of the Midcontinent Rift. Most of Earth's surface is basalt lava, but basalt makes up only a small fraction of continents.

How do you make basalt?

Basalt can now be formed when lava flows over soul soil next to blue ice, making it renewable. Basalt can no longer be smelted into polished basalt. Polished basalt can now be obtained by crafting 4 blocks of basalt in a 2×2 grid or stonecutting it, similar to other polished stones.
