Which Direction Does an Alternator Turn?

Alternators don't care which way they turn. Valid for the general question. But for the specifics of the vehicle, clockwise.

Does it matter which way alternator turns?

Alternators will charge turning either direction. The fan will normally pull warm air out of the case (clockwize, facing the engine) If you need to mount it backwards on the engine ( clearance issues??) it will work fine.

Will alternator charge spinning backwards?

The alternator will work in either direction but the fan has to be matched to the direction of rotation so that it blow air INTO the alternator.
