London firm Foster + Partners designed the project, which features a 2.8 million-square donut-shaped building “clad entirely in the world’s largest panels of curved glass,” according to an Apple press release. The building also includes the newly named Steve Jobs Theater, opening later in the year.
What inspired Apple Park?
The design was partly inspired by the main quad on Stanford University’s campus, Foster said. The land under Apple Park was HP’s advanced products campus before Apple tore the building down in 2013. … Even the tables inside the building have been obsessed over.
