S.W.A.T, a crime action drama series, is based on the 1975 series S.W.A.T created and developed by Robert Hamner and Rick Husky, respectively. The new series was produced by Shawn Ryan and Aaron Rahsaan Thomas and premiered on CBS on November 2, 2017. Its final season is set to premiere on CBS on February 16, 2024, with 13 episodes.

S.W.A.T cast deaths in season 2

In S.W.A.T season 2 no cast member died. However, there was a notable departure: Stephanie Sigman, who played Jessica Cortez, left after the season 2 finale. At the end of the S.W.A.T season 2 finale, Jessica Cortez took a five-week FBI undercover job to escape LAPD temporarily.

However, in the season three premiere, it was revealed that Jessica's temporary leave was permanent, ending her tenure as Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) captain.
