Who Is a Suitable Certifier?

A suitable certifier is a trusted third party who has seen the original document and in the case of a photographic identification document for a natural person, has also met the natural person. Note: Documents cannot be certified by family members or relatives of the customer.

Who can certify your documents?

Copies of documents can be certified by one of the following people:
  • Accountant.
  • Armed forces officer.
  • Bank/building society official.
  • Commissioner of Oaths.
  • Councillor (local or county)
  • FCA regulated person (identified using the FCA authorised persons lists)

Who can certify docs in NZ?

If you are in New Zealand, the following authorised persons can certify copies of your admission documents:
  • Justice of the Peace.
  • Lawyer.
  • Court Official (Court Registrar or Deputy Registrar)
  • Notary Public.
