Document verification is the process of verifying the authenticity of a document. Officially issued documents, such as a driver's license, bank statement, or other state/federal documents, are usually the most accepted, verifiable documents.
How does document verification work?
Once the customer has uploaded the images, the software scans the documents using optical character recognition. The extracted information from the image is then analyzed and verified against the government and private databases. Simultaneously, the document is also checked for forgery and signs of tampering.
