The familiar face of ESPN, Molly McGrath is enjoying both her professional and personal life. She is now relishing a married life with her longtime love for nearly two years.
American journalist Molly McGrath is a sideline reporter and host on ESPN. She covers college football and college basketball games on ESPN and also covers select games as a sideline reporter for XFL on ABC.
Born as Molly Anne McGrath on 6 June 1989 in San Francisco, California, she is the youngest child of Michael McGrath and Deborah McGrath. She has an older brother named Patrick, who played linebacker at Princeton University. He now serves as a product manager for Lyft, a ridesharing company based in San Francisco, California.
Molly grew up in Burlingame, California, where she attended St. Ignatius College Preparatory, graduating in 2007. She then went to Boston College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Broadcast Journalism at the age of 22 in 2011.
Earlier, Molly interned at New England Sports Network for two months and at WHDH-TV for a year until August 2010. She began her professional career as a ticket sales representative for the Boston Athletics Sales Team. Later, she became a sports reporter and covered stories on the sidelines of BC sporting events for BCEagles.com.

In 2011, McGrath joined ESPN as a production assistant and worked for nearly six months. She then worked for the Boston Celtics as a web and in-arena reporter at the TD Garden. Besides, she hosted Celtics Now on Comcast SportsNet New England from 2012 to 2013. She was a sideline reporter and host for college sports and the NFL during her three years tenure at Fox Sports.
In 2016, Molly moved to ESPN and started working as a sideline reporter for college football and college basketball games. She now covers ESPN Thursday Night games and ESPN/ABC Saturday college football games.
