Fans first got to know Steve when he appeared on his wife’s hit HGTV series: Good Bones. Over the course of the show — which ran for 8 seasons and wrapped in 2023 — viewers got a sneak peek into Mina and Steve’s relationship and family life, which includes their two children, son Jack and daughter Charlotte.
“It feels like a story. It doesn’t feel real sometimes,” Mina told HGTV about what she and Steve have overcome during their 10 years together.

Mina and Steve first met in 2013 after she came across her now-husband’s Facebook page and began chatting. Their first meet-up was at a sporting event organized by a mutual friend, and it almost ended in disaster.
"He ignored me all night," Mina told Country Living. “He let his friend hit on me!”
Steve later recalled to HGTV feeling "intimidated" seeing her across the bar, wearing an Indianapolis Colts sweater, and he was trying to "play it cool."
Still, after securing his phone number, the house flipper gave him a second chance and texted him, “We're going to try this again tomorrow — you get one more shot.”
