Why Are Fabric Pots Better

Fabric pots for gardening are virtually impossible to overwater. Thanks to the permeable structure of the fabric, water can flow down and through the bottom of the pot, draining evenly and preventing pools of standing water from forming. The fabric also wicks moisture from the sides of the pot.

How long do fabric planters last?

Typically, we expect them to last between 3-5 years. It depends on how much direct sunlight they receive, how you store/clean them, and how you grow in them. Often, they will last longer than that! We recommend washing your fabric pots in between cycles if you use a lot of nutrients and amendments.

Does water drain from fabric pots?

Fabric pots are permeable, meaning that water and air can pass into and out of the container. When water enters from the top, it permeates the soil and transpires from the sides of the pot. Excess water that reaches the bottom flows through the fabric and exits the vessel.
