Why Did Akatsuki Create Yahiko?

Akatsuki (暁; ; Literally meaning "Dawn" or "Daybreak"; ) was initially an organisation created by Yahiko and his two comrades Konan and Nagato in an effort to fight against the tyranny and oppression that their home village Amegakure was facing during the Third Great Shinobi War, and the long-term goal of world peace.

Why did Yahiko join the Akatsuki?

He was forced to join this organization as he killed his entire clan for the sake of peace and then fled the village. The best place for him to go to was the Akatsuki, even more so because they were a growing threat and Itachi could keep them in check from the inside.
