Why Do I Hate Seeing Couples Happy?
The reason why we hate seeing happy couples around us isn't because of them, it's because of what we think it says about us. It reminds us of what we're lacking, how we're somehow inferior as single people, and how we wish we could be happier. I was definitely like that, too, and especially after break-ups.

Why do I feel jealous of happy couples?

Couple envy is far more common than you might think.

This can sometimes happen if you're feeling unsure of yourself or if your emotional or physical needs aren't being met. These feelings can lead us to measure ourselves and our self-worth against others.

How do I stop being jealous of a happy couple?

Practice self-compassion (in other words, treat yourself the way you would a close friend). Practice daily affirmations or exchange them with your partner. Remind yourself of the things you value in your partner and relationship. Make time to do things you enjoy.
