Why do Titans have smoke? Titans' body temperatures are really high. I've always seen it as water vapour than smoke. It's not smoke, it's steam from the moisture evaporating from their bodies.
Why are Titans so steamy?
The Theory: Titans operate by heating gas and expanding a carbon-fiber like polymer that forms their body. The solid feel to getting hit by a titan comes from the fact that fibers are very strong in tension so they can build up pressure similar to how a car air bag can break your ribs.
Titan's bodies are actually made up of some type of gaseous substance that weighs nothing. While alive, with its "power source", the gaseous substance takes on the form of solid flesh-like material, but still incredibly light. Without this "power source", the flesh returns to the gaseous state and evaporates.
