If you are still experiencing lag, try going back to that setting you just changed and play around with the Scaling Mode, Texture Buffer, or even try disabling Canvas Graphic Acceleration completely. If nothing works, try messing around with the performance tab.
Why is Krita being so laggy?
This sounds like you are using a really weak device or an insanely large canvas and brush. Usually hardware acceleration for the canvas should give you a boost. For me Krita is basically unusable when I turn it off however it doesn’t affect stokes so much, more rotating, panning and zooming the canvas.
