In most cases this is a result of dry air, or allowing the soil to dry out too much before re watering. On occasion it can also be an indication you’re overwatering. Remember that the soil should be moist for much of the time, not really dry or really wet.
How often should you water Asplenium?
Water. Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out half way down between waterings. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light. Do not water directly into the center of your fern, but instead, water around it.
How do you water Asplenium?
Water thoroughly during the growing season but less so in the winter. Keep moist but do not allow to stand in water. Bird’s Nest Ferns are best watered around edge, directly onto the soil, as pouring into the crown may cause it to rot.
