If the Status Bar is jumping up and down, it has likely become stuck between displaying one line and two lines. If your Model and Layout tabs are moving up and down, they are likely moving out of line with the Status Bar automatically – in many cases, while you’re switching between tabs.
Why is my cursor snapping in AutoCAD?
If the cursor seems to be snapping to a grid – especially if you’re working in Paper Space – type SNAP in the Command line and click Off. It’s the only way to disable this type of snap. While you’re at it, try turning off the GRIDSNAP setting as well.
How do I reset my AutoCAD settings?
- Click Preferences under the AutoCAD menu.
- Click the Application tab.
- Click the Reset Application Options button.
- Click Reset AutoCAD.
