Primolut N can be used in several different circumstances: to treat irregular, painful or heavy periods. to treat endometriosis (where tissue from the lining of the womb is present in places where it is not normally found) to treat premenstrual syndrome (also known as premenstrual tension, PMS or PMT)

Can Primolut n be used to get periods?

The dosage is 1 tablet of Primolut N three times daily, starting 3 days before the expected onset of menstruation and continuing for not longer than 10 to 14 days. A normal period should occur 2-3 days after the patient has stopped taking tablets.

Is Primolut used to stop bleeding?

With uninterrupted daily intake, ovulation and menstruation do not usually occur. After discontinuation of hormone treatment withdrawal bleeding will occur. Treatment with PRIMOLUT N one tablet 3 times daily from day 5 - 25 of the cycle has been shown to be effective in reducing menstrual blood loss.
