SQLite is an open-source relational database i.e. used to perform database operations on android devices such as storing, manipulating or retrieving persistent data from the database. It is embedded in android bydefault. So, there is no need to perform any database setup or administration task.

Why do we use SQLite?

SQLite is portable across all 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems and big- and little-endian architectures. Multiple processes can be attached with same application file and can read and write without interfering each other. It can be used with all programming languages without any compatibility issue.
