In its simplest form, a concrete densifier is a chemical solution that, when applied to a concrete surface, increases surface density by reacting with the concrete, hardening the surface and sealing pores. Increased surface density means a harder surface and more surface strength.
How long does concrete densifier last?
Most densifiers can react within 1-2 hours with concrete surface, however the chemical reaction with the calcium and free lime in the concrete will continue for up to 2 months after the application of it to the surface of the concrete.
Is concrete densifier a sealer?
Concrete densifiers are silicate sealers of a sodium, potassium or lithium carrier designed to densify, harden, dustproof and increase the abrasion resistance of concrete.
